The le Strange Family is known for its long recorded history, and loyalty to the Crown with a history that spans over 939 years.

Synonymous with landed Knights that were familiar in Royal circles, the Family became established in Hunstanton, Norfolk, England in the post Norman Conquest era.

In the 12th Century, they spread their wings 200 miles West, playing pivotal roles on the Shropshire Marches, where they resided in fortified residences.

Our heritage covers both Norfolk & Shropshire - in 1310 the Family lines became distinct from one another. While the Norfolk, Hunstanton, line continues today under the same name, the Shropshire Baron Stranges eventually merged with the Earls of Derby.
